Lukashenko regrets not empowering Belarusian People's Congress to elect president

The updated Constitution of Belarus should have empowered the Belarusian People's Congress to elect the authorities, especially the president, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said at a government meeting on 30 August to discuss the development of civil society and the work of political parties and public associations in the country.
