Lukashenko arrives in Russia on a visit

Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has arrived in Russia on a working visit. The president's aircraft landed in the airport of the city of Blagoveshchensk on 12 April. Top government officials of Russia's Amur Oblast and Blagoveshchensk as well as members of the Belarusian delegation, who had arrived the day before, welcomed the Belarusian head of state upon arrival. BelTA reported earlier that during the working visit to Russia Aleksandr Lukashenko will visit the country's Far East regions. Today, on Cosmonautics Day Aleksandr Lukashenko and President of Russia Vladimir Putin are expected to go together to the Vostochny Cosmodrome. Aleksandr Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin will be made familiar with progress of construction of the space launch facility and will talk to pilot-cosmonauts and personnel of the cosmodrome.
