On 17 December the National Art Museum inaugurated exhibition and restoration buildings of the museum quarter.
The idea to create a single museum complex in Minsk downtown was born in the early 2000s.
The National Art Museum holds a collection of 30,000 artworks from Belarus and other countries. The government upheld an ambitious project to create a single museum quarter. It will include a cozy courtyard and galleries connecting all the buildings so that visitors entering the museum will be able to explore all the exhibition halls without leaving the building.
