Amateur performers from all over Mogilev District gathered in the agro-town of Polykovichi to see off the winter and welcome the spring. This year Maslenitsa week is marked on 8-14 March. Maslenitsa has its traditional activities, like fairs, making pancakes, bonfires and a whole range of other festivities. They culminate in burning of the Maslenitsa Scarecrow.
