
MINSK, 9 June (BelTA) – Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus remains at the top of the WTA rankings following the 2025 French Open, BelTA has learned.
Following her runner-up finish in Paris, the Belarusian moved to 11,553 points with Roland Garros winner Coco Gauff of the United States staying 3,470 points behind. Former world number one Iga Swiatek of Poland, who lost Aryna Sabalenka in the semifinal, slid down to the 7th.
The story of the French Open was undoubtedly Lois Boisson of France as she surged an incredible 298 places to a career-high No.66 after reaching the semifinal as a wildcard.
Two other Belarusian players kept their places intact: Victoria Azarenka is 75th, Aliaksandra Sasnovich is 105th.
