Winston-Salem Open: Ivashka loses in Last 16

MINSK, 25 August (BelTA) – Belarus' world number 51 Ilya Ivashka failed to reach the Winston-Salem Open quarterfinal losing to Switzerland's world number 102 Marc-Andrea Huesler, 6-7 (2-7), 6-3, 6-7 (3-7), BelTA has learned.

The match lasted for two hours and 22 minutes. Marc-Andrea Huesler will play world number 55 Jack Draper of the UK in the next round. In the opener Ilya Ivashka needed one hour to defeat Germany's world number 111 Peter Gojowczyk, 6-4, 6-2 to move into Last 16.

At Cleveland Belarus' world number 36 Aliaksandra Sasnovich reached the quarterfinal solving Spain's world number 46 Sara Sorribes Tormo, 4-6, 6-3, 6-3. The Belarusian will next face world number 63 Madison Brengle of the United States.

The tournaments in Cleveland and Winston-Salem will be over on 27 August.
