Vytoki festival travels to Mozyr

MINSK, 24 June (BelTA) – The Vytoki cultural and sport festival will take place in Mozyr on 24-26 June, BelTA learned from the press service of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Belarus.

The festival will open with a tour in Mozyr Drama Theater named after Ivan Melezh (23 Leninskaya Street) in one of the most beautiful cities of the Belarusian Polesie. The theater will host a round table on “Promoting historical and cultural heritage”, a lecture-presentation “Modern Belarusian Fine Art”, the Wheel of Time exhibition, an exhibition of children's drawings and a concert of organ music by Valery Shmat My Step Toward the Olympus.

The second day of the festival, 25 June, will feature an educational seminar on ways to promote creative and innovative projects and the cultural and economic program "The Capital of the Place". Its participants will discuss the development and promotion of national and regional brands. More information on the Olympic movement will be available at the seminar of the Belarusian Olympic Academy.

Lenina Square and the embankment of the river Pripyat will be the central venue of the festival “Vytoki. A Step Toward the Olympus” on 26 June. Everyone will be invited to take part in competitions and contests, test their abilities in various sports and get valuable prizes. The festival will feature a food court, a family recreation area and the Belarusian Brands trade show.

The jury will determine the best young performers and honor them with diplomas and valuable prizes on 26 June. The best young artists of the region will also be honored on the day.

The festival will wrap up with a gala concert on 26 June. The concert will feature Belarusy band, Janet, Valery Shmat, Gunesh, Zina Kupriyanovich, Irina Dorofeeva, Alexander Voronische, Jazz City Band, ByCity, and Drozdy. A spectacular fireworks will light the sky over Mozyr at 22.30.

The Vytoki sport and cultural festival will also take place in Bobruisk and other Belarusian cities. The final installment of the festival will be held in Minsk in late August.

The organizers of the Vytoki festival are the National Olympic Committee of Belarus, the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus, the Arthaos and BelBrandAudit companies.
