Vytoki festival to travel to Soligorsk on 22-24 July

MINSK, 19 July (BelTA) – Soligorsk will host the cultural and sport festival "Vytoki. A Step Toward Olympus” on 22-24 July. The bright and popular holiday has already been held in Lida, Orsha, Kobrin, Mozyr and Bobruisk, BelTA learned from the press service of the National Olympic Committee of Belarus.

The festival in Soligorsk will open on 22 July with an excursion program in one of the city's cultural centers - the spiritual and educational center of the parish of the Church of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the village of Chizhevichi (12.00). The center will also host a roundtable on the promotion of historical and cultural heritage (16.00).

The Wheel of Time art exhibition of Belarusian artists and an exhibition of children's drawings will open at OAO Belaruskali (17.30 at 5 Korzha Street). The lecture and presentation “Contemporary Belarusian Fine Art” (18:00) will focus on trends and movements in this field. A unique organ music concert by Valery Shmat “My step toward Olympus” (19:00) will be held in the Belaruskali public garden in the evening.

The second day of the festival, 23 July, will feature seminars to promote creative and innovative projects (11:00, Center for the Creativity of Children and Youth of Soligorsk District, 57 Lenina Street) and a cultural and economic program “Capital Place” (14:30, Passat NGO, Soligorsk District, 65 Metyavichskoye Shosse Street). Its participants will discuss the development and promotion of national and regional brands.

You can learn more about the Olympic movement at the seminar of the Belarusian Olympic Academy (Gymnasium No. 1 of Soligorsk, 49a Lenina Street, 15:00). A literary and music program Thread will open at the Soligorsk district library and then move to the Belaruskali public garden (19:00, 4 Korzha Street).

The central event of the festival “Vytoki. A Step Toward Olympus” on 24 July will take place in the central square of Soligorsk (the opening ceremony at 13.00).

Visitors will be able to take part in competitions and sport contests, test their abilities in various sports and win valuable prizes. The festival will feature a food court, a family recreation zone and the Belarusian brands trade fair.

The best young singers will be named on the final day of the festival. The winners will receive not only diplomas and prizes, but also the opportunity for further creative development. The best young artists of the region will also be awarded on the same day.

The leg of the festival in Soligorsk will round off on 24 July with a concert featuring popular Belarusian artists: Belarusy band, Janet, Valery Shmat, Gunesh, Zina Kupriyanovich, Viktoria Aleshko, Jazz City Band, ByCity, Alexander Voronische and Drozdy band, as well as a firework display.

The 2021 edition of the Vytoki festival will wrap up with a large-scale celebration that will take place in Minsk in late August.

Vytoki is a Belarusian brand that promotes Belarusian national culture, history, traditions, and sport achievements of the country and its regions. The main objectives of the project are to create a common social and educational space, bring together people of different interests and ages, promote regional and national brands, and celebrate achievements in sports, science and art.

The organizers of the Vytoki festival are the National Olympic Committee of Belarus, the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus, the Arthaos and BelBrandAudit companies.
