MINSK, 28 December (BelTA) - Anastasiya Verameyenka has been named the best basketball player of the year in Belarus for the 12th time according to the results of the traditional New Year's Eve opinion poll held by the Pressball newspaper, BelTA has learned.
The player of BC Horizont received 85 votes. Forward of Spanish Burgas and the Belarusian national team Maksim Salash got 60 votes to become the best male basketball player of the year. He received such title for the second time.
Natalya Trofimova (Belarusian national team and BC Horizont, women) was named the best coach of the year with 65 votes. Rostislav Vergun (Belarusian national team, men) got 69 votes to become the best coach of the year.
