MOSCOW, 31 October (BelTA) – MPs of the Belarus-Russia Union State – members of the Union State PA Commission for Youth Policy, Sports and Tourism have paid a visit to the sports facilities in the Olympic Park in Sochi, BelTA learned from the PA press service.
“The delegation led by Chairman of the Commission Artyom Turov, Deputy Chairman Sergei Klishevich and also members of the Commission Dmitry Baskov, Olga Petrashova and Anton Tkachev met with head of the Bolshoy Ice Dome Ilya Krasny. The meeting was also attended by First Secretary of the Central Committee of the BRSM Youth Union Aleksandr Lukyanov. They discussed joint activities to boost physical edcuation and sports, to improve the functioning of sports facilities, hold competitions with the participation of Belarusian teams. The parties also exchanged opinions and proposals on the prospects of the Union State events,” the press service said.
The Bolshoy Ice Dome is a multi-purpose indoor arena located in Olympic Park, Sochi, Russia. The arena may be transformed to host cultural and entertainment events, concerts and competitive sports. In addition to the 12,000-seat demonstration arena, the facility includes a training ice rink with stands for 300 spectators.
