MINSK, 7 June (BelTA) - Belarus won two more medals at the 2021 ECA Canoe Sprint European Championships in Poznan, Poland, BelTA has learned.
Volha Klimava won C1 Women 5,000m in 26:25.017. Second was Hungary's Dora Horanyi (26:42.626). Bronze went to Ukraine's Liudmyla Babak (27:02.534).
Aleh Yurenia placed second in K1 Men 5,000m clocking 20:44.937. Hungary's Balint Noe won the event (20:44.405). bronze went to Fermando Pimenta of Portugal (20:45.277).
Earlier, Pavel Miadzvedzeu, Ilya Fedarenka, Kiryl Nikitsin, and Vitaliy Bialko won the K4 Men 1000m event in 3:02.023. Uladzislau Litvinau and Dzmitry Natynchyk claimed gold in K2 Men 500m.
Artsem Kozyr of Belarus won silver in C1 men 200m, clocking 40.798. Marharyta Mahneva, Volha Khudzenka, Nadzeya Papok, and Maryna Litvinchuk took silver in K4 Women 500m.
Bronze was collected by Alena Nazdrova of Belarus in the C1 Women 500m. Maryna Litvinchuk and Volha Khudzenka finished third in K2 Women 500m.
Belarus placed third in the team overall table with three gold, three silver and two bronze medals behind Hungary (9 gold, 7 silver, 2 bronze medals) and Germany (4, 3, 3).
