MINSK, 21 March (BelTA) – The Belarusian national football team will open a new season with an international friendly against the team of Montenegro in Türkiye on 21 March, BelTA has learned.
The match in Mardan Sports Complex in Antalya will be umpired by a team of Turkish referees led by Kadir Saglam. This is going to be the fifth meeting between the national teams of Belarus and Montenegro. The head to head record includes two wins by Montenegro and two draws. Belarus scored one goal and let in four. In the FIFA rankings Belarus is 98th and Montenegro – 72nd.
After the match against Montenegro the Belarusian team will travel to Malta to face the national team of the country on 26 March. Malta will take on Slovenia on 21 March.
