TOKYO, 30 July (BelTA) – Uladzislau Smiahlikau of Belarus has finished his quest for an Olympic medal a footstep away from the podium, BelTA has learned.
The Belarusian boxer faced New Zealand's David Nyika who dominated his rival throughout the entire bout. The Dobrush-born athlete tried to reverse the situation but could not seize the initiative. As a result, he finished fourth in the Men's Heavy (81-91kg) Quarterfinal (0-5). It was his first Olympics.
