MINSK, 25 July (BelTA) – The first stage of the international swimming tournament Solidarity Games continues in Kazan, Russia. Belarusian athletes are taking part in the games, BelTA has learned.
On the fourth day of the competitions Belarusian swimmers won four medals. Anastasiya Shkurdai claimed silver in the women's 100m backstroke, Viktar Staselovich was third in the men's 50m backstroke, Alina Zmushka clinched bronze in the women's 100m breaststroke, and Ilya Shimanovich and Ruslan Skamaroshka took silver in the 4x100m medley.
So far, Belarus has won nine medals (1-4-4) at the Solidarity Games. Belarus has fielded 27 athletes for the tournament in Kazan. All in all, more than 700 swimmers from 13 countries are competing in the tournament.
