MINSK, 16 November (BelTA) – Russia’s Khanty-Mansiysk is hosting the International Club Biathlon League Cup featuring the best Belarusian and Russian athletes, BelTA has learned.
The new winter season kicked off with a biathlon club event. A total of 15 teams featured four athletes each. The event opened with the men's mass start on Saturday, 16 November.
Anton Smolski representing the Belorusski Neftyanik [Belarusian Oil Worker] club missed two targets at each of two shooting stages and cleaned the standing to finish 3rd.
Karim Khalili and Daniil Serokhvostov from Russia finished first and second respectively.
As for other Belarusian participants, Ivan Tulatin placed fifth, Dzmitry Lazouski sixth, Maksim Varabei ninth, Stsiapan Danilau 15th and Ilya Auseyenka 21st.
