MINSK, 21 July (BelTA) - The draw at the EHF Office in Vienna has determined 15 pairings in round 1 and 27 matchups in round 2, BelTA has learned.
Belarus' vice champion SKA Minsk will play against Iceland's Hafnarfjordur in the EHF European Cup second qualification round. The first matches is due to take place in Iceland on 16 and 17 October. The return ones will be played in Minsk on 23 and 24 October. HC Masheka will take on TENAX Dobele first in Mogilev and then in Latvia.
HC Victoria Berestie will start their EHF European Cup Women campaign from the second qualification round. The Brest team will learn their opponents in late October. The second round matches will be played in mid November.
Belarus' champion HC Meshkov Brest learned their opponents in the EHF Champions League earlier. In Group A the Brest team will face THW Kiel, Vardar Skopje, MOL-Pick Szeged, Aalborg Handbold, Elverum Handball, Montpellier HB, and HC PPD Zagreb. The tournament will kick off in mid September – 15 or 16 September, with the Belarusian champion hosting one of the EHF Champions League favorites THW Kiel.
