Shymanovich moves to Valencia Open last 16

MINSK, 12 June (BelTA) – Belarus’ world number 275 Iryna Shymanovich went off to a good start at BBVA Open Internacional de Valencia 2024, BelTA has learned.

In the round of last 32 the Belarusian defeated world number 143 Dominika Salkova of the Czech Republic, 6-4, 6-4. Iryna Shymanovich will next play world number 97 Renata Zarazua of Mexico for a spot in the quarterfinal.

In ITF Poland Belarus’ world number 676 Kristina Dmitruk will open the tournament against world number 388 Yuki Naito of Japan.
