MINSK, 20 February (BelTA) - Maria Shkanova of Belarus won gold at the PRO Series alpine skiing event in Altai Krai, Russia, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Sport and Tourism Ministry.
The Belarusian won the slalom event in Belokurikha, Altai Krai of the Russian Federation. Maria Shkanova finished with the best time in both races, 0.13 seconds ahead of Anna Nagaitseva from Kemerovo Oblast. Third was Tanzila Israilova from Bashkortostan, finishing 0.88 seconds behind Maria Shkanova. The event featured a total of 25 athletes.
Maria Shkanova clinched silver At the first stage of the PRO Series event in Kirovsk. This season the Belarusian graced the podium of the Russian Slalom Cup four times, winning two gold and two silver medals.
