MINSK, 8 October (BelTA) – Shakhtyor Soligorsk went through the first round of qualifying at the CEV Champions League defeating IBB Polonia London in a two-match event held in Belchatow, Poland due to the COVID-19 restrictions, BelTA has learned.
In the first match Shakhtyor Soligorsk edged IBB Polonia London 3-2 (17-25, 25-15, 25-23, 20-23, 15-13). Artsiom Masko led the team with 22 points.
Shakhtyor Soligorsk also proved stronger in a re-match, 3-1 (25-16, 25-20, 22-25, 25-23). Artsiom Masko led his team once again with 22 points. Andrei Marchanka scored 17 points, Pavel Avdachenka – 15 points. Ramon Martinez Gion led IBB Polonia London with 15 points.
Shakhtyor Soligorsk will learn his second-round rival later.
