MINSK, 14 December (BelTA) – Seven Belarusian athletes will compete at the 2021 FINA World Swimming Championships in Abu Dhabi, the UAE on 16-21 December, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Swimming Federation.
The coaching staff have named the following athletes to the national team: Anastasiya Kuliashova (50m, 100m butterfly, 50m backstroke, 4x50m medley and mixed medley), Anastasia Koryakovskaya (50m freestyle, 4x50m medley and mixed medley), Alina Zmushka (50m, 100m breaststroke, 4x50m medley and mixed medley), Anastasia Shkurdai (100m medley, 100m butterfly, 100m backstroke, 100m freestyle, 200m backstroke, 4x50m medley and mixed medley), Ilya Shymanovich (50m, 100m, 200m breaststroke, 4х50m mixed medley), Viktar Staselovich (50m, 100m backstroke, 4x50m mixed medley), Grigory Pekarsky (50m, 100m butterfly, 50m backstroke).
The total prize money is more than $2.8 million. Cash prizes for individual disciplines increased by 50%. And the swimmer who sets a new world record in the individual discipline will receive $50,000. If a swimmer managed to break world record in the competition will receive $50,000 bonus.
