MINSK, 24 August (BelTA) – Belarus' world number 99 Aliaksandra Sasnovich went off to a good start at the 2021 Cleveland Championships defeating world number 119 Christina McHale of the United States 6-4, 7-5, BelTA has learned.
The match lasted for an hour and 52 minutes. The Belarusian will next face world number 37 Nadia Podoroska of Argentina.
Belarus' world number 63 Ilya Ivashka advanced into the 2021 Winston-Salem Open second round seeing off Italy's world number 88 Andreas Seppi 6-4, 6-4.
Belarus' world number 81 Egor Gerasimov kicked off his Winston-Salem Open run with a 7-6 (8-6), 3-6, 6-2 win over world number 112 Norbert Gombos of Slovakia. In the match for a spot in the round of Last 16 the Belarusian lost to France's world number 82 Richard Gasquet 6-7 (4-7), 6-7 (6-8).
