Sabalenka up to 5th in WTA

MINSK, 3 October (BelTA) – Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus goes 5th in the WTA rankings, BelTA has learned.

A week ago the best Belarusian tennis player was 6th in the WTA rankings. Now she is 5th with 3,470 points. Victoria Azarenka goes 24th with 1,896 points. Aliaksandra Sasnovich remains 31st with 1,521 points. This week two Belarusian players will play at a tournament in Ostrava, the Czech Republic. In the round of Last 32 Victoria Azarenka will face Russia's world number 21 Ekaterina Alexandrova, Aliaksandra Sasnovich will open against Latvia's world number 16 Jelena Ostapenko.
