MINSK, 5 September (BelTA) - Belarusian swimmers continue competing for medals at the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris, BelTA has learned.
On 4 September Dzmitry Salei clocked 54.47 seconds to finish third in the Men’s 100m Freestyle - S12 morning preliminary heat and fifth overall among 15 competitors. In the evening final the Belarusian touched fifth in 53.84 seconds. Earlier, Dzmitry Salei placed fourth in the Men’s 100m Backstroke and eighth in the Men’s 50m Freestyle.
Team Belarus have so far won six gold medals, five of which were claimed by swimmer Ihar Boki. The sixth one was clinched by swimmer Yahor Shchalkanau. On 5 September Yahor Shchalkanau will compete in the Men’s 200m Individual Medley, Anastasiya Zudzilava and Yauheni Kavalyonak – in the Women’s and Men’s 100m Breaststroke.
