Paralympics 2024: Belarus’ Zudzilava into Women’s 100m Breaststroke final

MINSK, 5 September (BelTA) - Belarusian swimmers continue competing for medals at the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris, BelTA has learned.

The Thursday morning competition program included preliminary heats featuring three Belarusian swimmers.

Anastasiya Zudzilava clocked 1:22.15 to finish third in the Women’s 100m Breaststroke – S13 heat and seventh overall. The final is scheduled for later in the evening.

Yauheni Kavalionak touched ninth in 1:09.86 in the Men’s 100m Breaststroke. Paralympic champion Yahor Shchankanau finished 15th in the Men’s 200m Individual Medley – S9.

Team Belarus have so far won six gold medals, five of which were claimed by swimmer Ihar Boki. The sixth one was clinched by swimmer Yahor Shchalkanau. The 2024 Paralympic Games in France will be over on 8 September.
