MINSK, 2 August (BelTA) – President of the National Olympic Committee of Belarus Viktor Lukashenko has congratulated Alina Zmushka on winning an award during the 2025 World Aquatics Championships in Singapore, the NOC press service told BelTA.
The Belarusian swimmer won a bronze medal during the Women 200 Breaststroke event. She shared the third position with Kaylene Corbett from South Africa. Alina Zmushka had not won medals during the top competitions of the season.
“This bronze medal is your personal long-awaited triumph and the well-deserved success of the entire team. Years of hard work, strict discipline, the will to win, and, of course, your talent have allowed you to conquer this world podium today, bringing joy to numerous Belarusian fans. I wish you not to rest on your accomplishments and to successfully secure the most resounding victories,” the congratulatory message reads.
