MINSK, 21 February (BelTA) - A new equestrian season is kicking off with the Belarusian Indoor Eventing Championship at the National Olympic Equestrian Sports and Horse Breeding Center Ratomka, BelTA has learned.
The Belarus vs Russia match, as well as the Victory Cup qualifying, will be held simultaneously with the event. The Victory Cup final will take place in the MAXIMA PARK in the village of Nekrasovsky near Moscow, Russia in May.
Four adult, three junior and four youth teams will make part of the team competitions in Ratomka. Members of the Belarusian national team Alexander Zelenko, Marina Ivanova, Aleksandr Fominov, Valeria Sushinskaya, Olga Komarova, Anastasia Shklyankova will compete for medals. The Russian national team will comprise Elizaveta Eliseeva, Sergey Fedorin and Ekaterina Nabatchikova.
The first tournament of the new equestrian season will be wrapped up with an indoor cross event on 24 February.
