MINSK, 2 July (BelTA) – A workshop to mark World Sports Journalists Day was held in Minsk on 2 July, BelTA has learned.
The event was held in the form of an interactive workshop and an expert discussion, and brought together spokespersons for sport organizations and media liaison officers of sports federations.
The speakers included Director General of the Belarus 5 TV channel Pavel Bulatsky, head of marketing and public relations at HC Dinamo Minsk Viktoria Yurchenko, two-time champion in women's wrestling of the European Games Vasilisa Marzaliuk and official representative of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Belarus Yulia Goncharova. They spoke about the interaction of press services with the media, anti-crisis PR, guidelines for journalists' work at major international competitions, athletes' promotion on the internet, ethical and professional standards for press services.
The workshop also focused on practical skills of public relations professionals.
Spokesman for the Russian Olympic Committee Konstantin Vybornov addressed the workshop in the capacity of an expert.
The event was organized by the National Olympic Committee of Belarus.
