MINSK, 18 May (BelTA) – On 19 May, Minsk will host the second edition of the One Run Half Marathon, BelTA has learned.
The One Run Half Marathon is one of the largest running events with a synchronized start in 15 countries. The project is aimed at strengthening friendly ties, promoting a healthy lifestyle and developing mass sports. It is expected that more than 160,000 athletes will take part in the race around the world, 2,000 of them in Belarus.
Pobediteley Avenue and the Minsk Ring Road in Minsk will be closed for traffic during the race on 19 May.
Participants of the race in Minsk can choose any of four options: 21.1km, 10km, 5km and 1km. The start and finish line and fan zone will be located near the fitness center on Ratomskaya Street.
Citizens of China, Bulgaria, Iran, Russia, Kazakhstan and Egypt have registered for the Sunday half marathon in Belarus. The race starts at 10.00. This year, races will be simultaneously held in Russia, China, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Brazil, Qatar, Cameroon, Serbia, Uzbekistan, Nepal, Egypt, Armenia, Pakistan and Bahrain.
