MINSK, 17 September (BelTA) – The Belarusian capital Minsk is hosting another UEFA youth development tournament, BelTA has learned.
The girls' Under-15 national teams from four countries: Belarus, Uzbekistan, Russia and Azerbaijan will compete on the fields of the Belarusian Football Federation in Vesnyanka on 17-22 September. Such international youth tournaments under the auspices of UEFA have been held since 2012 as part of the HatTrick program. Belarus hosted such competitions in 2013 for the first time. Today taking part in the tournaments are boys and girls from all 55 national football associations, members of the Union of European Football Associations.
Minsk hosted a tournament of four youth Under-16 national teams in late April 2024. Belarus won the champion title. Uzbekistan finished second, Azerbaijan – third and Tajikistan - fourth.
