MINSK, 20 January (BelTA) – HC Dinamo Minsk took a 3-2 win over HC Sochi in overtime as part of the KHL regular season on 19 January, BelTA has learned.
Twice the home team took the lead, only to succumb in overtime. Sergei Shmelyov opened the scoring on the power play midway through the first period. Sochi's lead was canceled out by Stepan Falkovsky before the intermission.
In the second period Sochi went back in front, this time on a short-handed goal from Dmitry Kolgotkin, but Dinamo leveled early in the third thanks to Zack Mitchell's second goal for the club.
Roman Gorbunov scored the game winner four minutes into the extras.
