KHL: Dinamo Minsk edge Sibir 5-4

MINSK, 22 September (BelTA) – HC Dinamo Minsk's fast start led the team to a 5-4 victory over the visiting HC Sibir in a match of the 2020/21 KHL regular season on 21 September, BelTA has learned.

Shane Prince scored twice to stretch the Bisons' winning streak to three games.

The opener came from Brandon Kozun and Shane Prince potted his first of the night within just one minute and five seconds into the game. The score did not change before the first hooter.

In the second, Sibir struck back when Yaroslav Khabarov reduced the deficit during a passage of 4-on-4 action. However, Shane Prince converted a penalty shot 30 seconds later to restore Dinamo's two-goal advantage.

In the third, Sibir got a goal back from Oleg Li but Brennan Menell extended his productive streak to make it 4-2. Juuso Puustinen kept the game alive with his goal to make it 3-4 with five minutes left to play. In the closing stages, an empty net effort from Rob Klinkhammer got another goal for Minsk. Stepan Sannikov scored 24 seconds from the end.

After the game with Sibir, the Bisons start a four-game series on the road against HC Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg on 25 September.
