MINSK, 6 April (BelTA) – Belarus' world number 115 Ilya Ivashka shook off Spain's world number 100 Pedro Martinez 6-3, 7-6 (7-2) to advance into the second round at ATP Challenger Marbella, BelTA has learned.
Ilya Ivashka will next play either Spain's world number 56 Alejandro Davidovich Fokina or world number 126 Damir Dzumhur of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Egor Gerasimov of Belarus, ranked 80 in the world, will play Slovenia's world number 58 Aljaz Bedene in the round of Last 16 at Sardegna Open in Cagliari, Italy.
The competitions in Spain and Italy will be over on 11 April.
