MINSK, 20 April (BelTA) – Belarus' world number 44 Ilya Ivashka progressed to the Barcelona Open round of Last 32 seeing off world number 43 Pedro Martinez of Spain, 6-4, 7-6 (7-4), in two hours and 12 minutes on 19 April, BelTA has learned.
Ilya Ivashka will next face Greece's world number 5 Stefanos Tsitsipas.
Belarus' world number 155 Egor Gerasimov beat France's world number 70 Adrian Mannarino, 2-6, 6-3, 6-4, in the opener. The Belarusian will next play world number 10 Cameron Norrie of the UK. The Belarusian reached the main draw through the qualifying rounds, beating Italy's world number 272 Raul Brancaccio, 6-3, 6-2, and Italy's world number 197 Andrea Pellegrino, 6-2, 6-3.
