MINSK, 20 November (BelTA) – Belarus' world number 113 Ilya Ivashka has progressed into the quarterfinal of Sparkasse Challenger 80 in Ortisei, Italy, BelTA has learned.
In the round of Last 16 the Belarusian solved Germany's world number 311 Johannes Haerteis 7-6 (8-6), 6-3 in an hour and 25 minutes.
In the opener Ilya Ivashka saw off Italy's world number 222 Matteo Viola 6-1, 6-1. The Belarusian will next play world number 197 Tomas Machac of the Czech Republic.
The tournament in Ortisei will be over on 22 November.
