MINSK, 11 June (BelTA) – The season's third Diamond League meeting took place in Florence, Italy, with Belarusian athletes Iryna Zhuk and Elvira Herman won silver and bronze medals, BelTA learned from the press service of the National Olympic Committee of Belarus.
Pole vaulter Iryna Zhuk cleared 4.71m in her first attempt. Anzhelika Sidorova of Russia won the event with 4.91m.
Elvira Herman clocked 12.85 seconds to finish third in the 100m Hurdles. Gold went to Jasmine Camacho-Quinn of Puerto Rico (12.32 seconds).
Nastassia Mironchyk-Ivanova placed fifth in the Long Jump (6.61m). Maksim Nedasekau cleared 2.27m to place sixth in the High Jump.
The next Diamond League meeting will take place in Oslo on 1 July.
