Ilya Shymanovich 2nd in qualification at 2021 FINA World Swimming Championships

MINSK, 16 December (BelTA) – Ilya Shymanovich of Belarus touched in second in the men's 100m breaststroke qualification at the 2021 FINA World Swimming Championships in Abu Dhabi, the UAE, BelTA learned from the press service of the National Olympic Committee of Belarus.

The Belarusian clocked 56.20 seconds to finish behind Arno Kamminga of the Netherlands, 56.19 seconds.

The men's 100m breaststroke semifinals are scheduled for 16 December. The finals are due on 17 December.

Competing for Belarus at the 2021 FINA World Swimming Championships in Abu Dhabi apart from Ilya Shymanovich are Anastasia Shkurdai, Anastasiya Kuliashova, Anastasia Koryakovskaya, Alina Zmushka, Viktar Staselovich, and Grigory Pekarsky.
