MINSK, 28 October (BelTA) – Belarus' world number 46 Ilya Ivashka completed his run in St Petersburg Open losing to Russia's world number 6 Andrei Rublev in straight sets, 4-6, 4-6, in an hour and a half, BelTA has learned.
In the opener the Belarusian solved Serbia's world number 52 Laslo Dere, 6-3, 6-2.
Belarus' world number 109 Egor Gerasimov, who went through qualifying to reach the main draw, lost to world number 56 Mackenzie McDonald of the United States, 5-7, 4-6.
Belarus' Ilya Ivashka and Kazakhstan's Alexander Bublik lost to Andrey Golubev of Kazakhstan and Hugo Nys of Monaco, 3-6, 1-6, in the doubles opener. Belarus' Andrei Vasilevski and Jonathan Erlich of Israel lost to Brazil's Bruno Soares and Jamie Murray of the UK, 1-6, 4-6.
The hard-court competitions at Sibur Arena will be over on 31 October.
