Ignat Golovatsiuk sets new Belarus' record at World Cup Speed Skating in Calgary

MINSK, 13 December (BelTA) – Belarusian speed skater Ignat Golovatsiuk has set a new national record at the World Cup Speed Skating meeting in Calgary, Canada, BelTA learned from the press service of the National Olympic Committee of Belarus.

The athlete improved his personal record in the 500m event. Now the record is 34.123 seconds. Ignat Golovatsiuk finished fourth, 0.22 seconds behind winner Viktor Mushtakov of Russia who also set his new personal record in Calgary.

The Belarusian ranks 10th with 233 points in the World Cup standings.
