MINSK, 2 December (BelTA) – Hanna Sola of Belarus finished third in the 7.5km Sprint at BMW IBU World Cup 2 in Oestersund, Sweden, with one penalty, 14.4 seconds behind the winner, BelTA has learned.
Belarus' Dzinara Alimbekava shot clean to come in fourth, 20.6 seconds back.
Austria's Lisa Theresa Hauser shot clean and skied to the first sprint victory of her career, taking the Oestersund women's 7.5 km sprint in 19:30.2. Sweden's Elvira Oeberg, with two penalties, finished second, 12.5 seconds back.
As for other Belarusians, Iryna Leshchanka shot clean, finished 24th, 1:08.2 back; Elena Kruchinkina, with one penalty, finished 42nd, 1:35.8 back; Irina Kruchinkina, with three penalties, finished 95th, 3:00.6 back. A total of 113 athletes finished in the event.
The Women's Pursuit is scheduled for 4 December.
