MINSK, 7 June (BelTA) - Belarusian athletes won five medals at the Grand Moscow Regatta held in the Russian capital for the 60th time, BelTA learned from the press service of the National Center of Olympic Training for Canoe/Kayak.
Vladislav Lokun, Artem Laputin, Evgeny Zolotoi and Kirill Tikhonovich clocked 5:50.885 to win gold in the men's four. They finished ahead of two Russian teams. Russia's Vladimir Gaevsky, Vladimir Lavrentyev, Maksim Zhevlachenko and Aleksandr Suvorov came in second with a result of 5:57.841. Aleksei Arkhangelsky, Egor Grachev, Anton Vasin, Aleksandr Kovalsky picked up bronze (6:00.849).
Egor Shlyupsky and Ivan Brynza won another gold for Team Belarus. In the men's doubles they came in first with the time of 6:33.548. Artem Kiselyov and Nikolai Piskunov bagged bronze (6:57.084). Russian duo of Konstantin Stasiuk and Aleksei Cheperev were third (6 minutes 39.752 seconds).
Anastasia Ivleva, Daria Novikova, Daria Vyrupayeva, Margarita Rusak claimed silver in the women's four (6:40.025). Only the Russian crew (Tatiana Ustelova, Elizaveta Kovina, Olga Inozemtseva, Yana Merenkova) managed to get ahead of the Belarusian (the winning time was 6:33.978).
Aleksandra Kirkovich won another bronze for Team Belarus in the women's singles. She finished with a time of 8:29.501 behind Russia's Polina Mukhorcheva (7:58.581) and Moldovan Yulia Narivonchik (8:15.862).
