MINSK, 6 January (BelTA) – Two power play goals from Shane Prince helped HC Dinamo Minsk secure an overtime victory over HC SKA in the KHL regular-season match on 5 January, BelTA has learned.
SKA began at a rapid tempo and dominated the early exchanges. Linden Vey put the visitors on the scoreboard nine minutes into the game. Dinamo responded soon afterwards, with Zack Mitchell getting his first for the club.
SKA regained the lead midway through the second period thanks to Anton Burdasov.
The teams traded goals in the third. Pavel Varfolomeyev claimed his first goal for the club. It took less than a minute for SKA, however, to regain the lead, with Anton Burdasov getting his second of the night. Dinamo converted the power play chance thanks to Shane Prince. That took the action to overtime, where Minsk began with another power play and Prince took advantage to grab the game winner.
The Bisons will next play HC Dinamo Riga on 7 January.
