MINSK, 3 February (BelTA) – Karyna Dzemidzik of Belarus clinched bronze at the the Banskobystrica Latka high jump meeting in Slovakia, BelTA has learned.
The Belarusian cleared 1.93m to secure the third place.
Yuliya Levchenko of Ukraine placed second with a 1.96m clearance. Her teammate Yaroslava Mahuchikh took gold with 2.06m, setting her personal record, the tournemant's record and also the world's U20 indoor record.
In the men's event Maksim Nedasekau of Belarus finished seventh after clearing 2.20m.
As for the top three, gold went to Italy's Gianmarco Tamberi (2.31m). Cuba's Luis Enrique Zayas showed the same result to land second. Third was Ukraine's Andriy Protsenko (2.28m).
