MINSK, 14 June (BelTA) – Mikita Karneyeu of Belarus secured a champion title in rowing at BRICS Games 2024 in Kazan, Russia on 14 June, BelTA has learned.
19-year-old Mikita Karneyeu claimed gold finishing one second ahead of Russia’s Alexander Tufanyuk in the lightweight men’s single sculls. Bronze went to Russia’s Yuri Shchelokov. Belarus’ Andrei Fedarenka came in fourth.
Earlier, Siarhei Valadzko and Dzmitry Furman collected bronze in the double sculls, while Dzianis Klimiato and Anton Kupalau finished fourth. Mikalai Sharlap also came in fourth in the men’s single sculls.
