BRICS Games 2024: Daniela Zhdan secures champion title in sambo

MINSK, 14 June (BelTA) – Daniela Zhdan of Belarus clinched gold in the sambo tournament at BRICS Games 2024 in Kazan, Russia on 14 June, BelTA has learned.

In the women’s 65kg event the Belarusian proved stronger against Mukhlisakon Kadyberganova of Uzbekistan in the quarterfinal, defeated Sunzhidma Tsog-Ochir from Mongolia in the semifinal and edged Russia’s Ekaterina Golubeva in the final. 

This gold medal came the first medal for the Belarusian sambo team at BRICS Games 2024.
