MINSK, 27 June (BelTA) – London has hosted the draw for the 138th Wimbledon Championships, BelTA has learned.
Belarus’ world number one Aryna Sabalenka will face world number 197 Carson Branstine of Canada. Belarus’ former world number one Victoria Azarenka, currently ranked 105, will play Russia’s world number 94 Anastasia Zakharova. Belarus’ world number 108 Aleksandra Sasnovich will take on France’s world number 111 Varvara Gracheva.
The 2025 Wimbledon Championships will be a Grand Slam tennis tournament and take place at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in Wimbledon, London, England from 30 June to 13 July. The winners of the men’s and women’s singles will earn 2,000 points and £3 million. Last year the winners were Carlos Alcaraz of Spain and Barbora Krejcikova of the Czech Republic.
