MINSK, 24 May (BelTA) – The Roland Garros draw has taken place in Paris, BelTA has learned.
Two Belarusians will play in the women’s main draw. World number two Aryna Sabalenka will face Russia’s world number 101 Erika Andreeva in the opening round. World number 24 Victoria Azarenka will open against Argentina’s world number 59 Nadia Podoroska.
The 123rd edition of the French Open will kick off on 26 May to finish on 9 June. The 2024 French Open prize money is €53.5 million which is an all-time high. Winners in the men’s and women’s events will earn €2.4 million and 2000 points each.
