MINSK, 30 May (BelTA) - The Belarusian Open Archery Cup took place at the sports and shooting complex named after Marshal S.K. Timoshenko in Minsk, BelTA learned from the press service of the National Olympic Shooting Sports Center.
Taking part in the tournament were about 150 athletes from Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan. Belarusian archers won eight medals. Nina Sobol won silver in the women's individual recurve event. Second in the women's team event were Viktoriya Vakulchyk, Tatsiana Lybko and Natallia Tretsiak. Bronze went to Karyna Dziominskaya, Aliaksandra Kuratnik and Hanna Marusava.
The mixed team recurve silver went to Karyna Dziominskaya and Raman Nikitsionak. Natalia Tretsiak and Mikita Kaliadzich finished third in the event. Silver in the men's team recurve event went to Anton Korovkin, Raman Nikitsionak and Kiryl Firsau. Bronze went to Aliaksandr Yefremau, Aliaksandr Liagushev and Sviataslau Tsarankou. Aleh Lavrentsiev, Siarhei Prontsevich and Aliaksandr Shulpin placed third in the men's team compound event.
Archers from Russia won 22 (10-6-6) medals at the Belarusian Open Archery Cup.
