MINSK, 6 July (BelTA) - Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka made it to the Wimbledon quarterfinals, BelTA learned.
On 6 July the World Mo.1 defeated Belgium’s Eliza Mertens (World No. 23) 6-4, 7-6 (7-4). In the quarterfinals, the Belarusian will take up on Germany’s Laura Siegemund (104).
On the way to the quarterfinals Aryna Sabalenka took down Canada’s Carson Branstine (194) 6-1, 7-5, Czech Marie Bouzkova (48) 7-6, 6-4 and Emma Raducanu (40) 7-6, 6-4.
