Belarus' Yauheni Karaliok wins Grand Prix of Sochi second stage

MINSK, 15 April (BelTA) – Yauheni Karaliok of Belarus has won the second stage of the All-Russian road cycling race Grand Prix of Sochi, BelTA has learned.

The Belarusian covered the distance of 158.4km in 3:22.11, surpassing Russian cyclists Sergei Rostovtsev and Mamyr Stash at the finish line. After two stages Yauheni Karaliok goes 10th in the overall standings, 45 seconds behind leader Sergei Firsanov of Russia. Vasily Strokau of Belarus goes 9th in the chart. A total of seven Belarusian cyclists are taking part in the event.

The 67th All-Russian road cycling race Grand Prix of Sochi marking the victory in the Great Patriotic War will last through 18 April.
