MINSK, 3 June (BelTA) – The 61st Grand Moscow Regatta kicked off at the rowing course in Krylatskoye on 3 June. Belarusian athletes are taking part in the tournament as well, BelTA has learned.
The first day featured four medal events in para rowing. Two-time Paralympic medalist Liudmila Vauchok showed the best result in PR1W1x. Maksim Miatlou was third in PR1M1x.
The Grand Moscow Regatta features about 1,400 athletes from Belarus, Russia, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Serbia and Uzbekistan. The Belarusian team comprises over 100 rowers, including members of the country's national team. The competitions will be held in a number of age categories and class events. The regatta will be over on Sunday, 5 June.
